CATHAY INDUSTRIES receives Silver recognition of ECOVADIS
5 February 2016. CATHAY INDUSTRIES has been awarded the silver status by CSR specialist ECOVADIS following the assessment made in January 2016. This step confirms the company’s commitment to taking responsibility for all aspects of short and long term business activities.
ECOVADIS is a well recognized certifying body in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As such it assesses companies on their way to aiming for high levels of responsibility outside the daily economics. The methodology of ECOVADIS covers a substantial number of criteria including fair business conduct, respect for human rights, care for environment and labor practices summing all up to a rating for sustainable development. CATHAY has reached the Silver status in the assessment and will opt to further develop towards the Gold level in times to come.
